Thank you National Kidney Foundation of Utah & Idaho

Monday, July 8, 2013
Dear National Kidney Foundation of Utah & Idaho.
Recently, I applied for and received a financial emergency donation grant from the National Kidney Foundation of Utah & Idaho. It was applied to my mortgage payment at a time when it was severely needed. I don’t know what I would’ve done without your help. My only income is Social Security & Retirement, and when I require additional medications or hospital stays it does not cover all our expenses! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this donation/grant. I was able to catch up on some medical bills. I really appreciate all the NKF of Utah & Idaho does for kidney patients, with help like this, all the information you provide on kidney disease, etc.
Sincerely,
R. Rudolph

Gas Money was Literally a “Life-Saver”

Dear Kidney Founation, I am so very grateful for your support. The gas card you provided so I could get to dialysis this month was literally a “life-saver”.  My husband just lost his job and we literally did not have enough money for the gas it would take to drive me to dialysis.  We appreciate your help in our desperate time of need.  In moment’s like this, we know God blesses our lives through other people reaching out.  God Bless you, thank you.  Alicia G.

We hope to repay the Kidney Foundation with a donation

We are very grateful to the National Kidney Foundation of Utah for the help you have given us in paying our mortgage. In 2010/2011 kidney failure, and the medical expenses that arose, have had tremendous impact on our lives.  This has placed a a huge financial burden upon our family.  We cannot thank you enough for the monetary aid that has lighted our burden.  We hope that within time we will be able to repay the Kidney Foundation by making a donation, so you can continue to help others in the same way you have helped us.  Thank you so very much for your generosity.  Sincerely,  The Brooks Family.

Thank you so much for the help

Dear National Kidney Foundation of Utah,  Thank you so very much for your help paying the dentist.  As I didn’t have any dental insurance, I had molar teeth that got pulled. They hurt me for 2 years without being pulled because I could not afford it. Thank you again.  It’s a relief to not have that terrible pain in my mouth anymore.  Sincerely Alice M.

Daughter of Kidney Patient

Dear Kidney Foundation,  I am writing this letter on behalf of Randy S. who is a recent recipient of your generous help. He was in need of extra money to have his teeth fixed in order to become a candidate for kidney transplant.  He has been on dialysis for approximately nine months now and it has not been easy. Your kindness and support in the amount of $350 has allowed him to get his teeth fixed. He is now eligible for a kidney transplant. It was a very stressful time for him, trying to determine where he would get the money to fix his teeth (in light of all his new medical expenses).  Because of the Kidney Foundation’s generosity his teeth are now fixed and he will be eligible for a kidney transplant. It’s a relief and one less thing to worry about right now.  Thank you for your kindness and for all you do on behalf of families everywhere who struggle with kidney failure.  Without your help m any families would be unable to get the support they need in order to receive a kidney transplant.  Sincerely, Kimberly S. (Daughter of Randy S.)

Thank you for helping me pay my utilities

Hi my name is Agustine. Kidney Foundation helped
me with my utilities this winter and I am so grateful. Because of low creatine
levels due to kidney failure I get so very cold that I try to keep the house at
least 65 degrees. Because I’m blind (diabetes is what killed my kidneys and my
eyesight) I’ve got to move around to find things, and use my hands instead of
my eyes. When the house is cold, and with my creatine levels so low it became
hard to get around my own house. But we just couldn’t afford to keep the house
warm, it was too expensive, and we also needed to pay for my meds. My husband
was understanding, but it was hard. When I mentioned this at dialysis in
January when the temps dropped to subzero, my social worker told me there was
help through the Kidney Foundation. We were so grateful after 3 weeks of not
having any heat in the house after Christmas, to be able to turn the thermostat
up to 65 again was a true comfort. Thank you so much for this help. We hope my
husband will be my kidney donor by next summer–and if that happens I won’t be
so cold all the time! Thank you, thank you for helping make our lives a little
easier! Sincerely, Augusine and Val.

Gas Money was literally a “Life-Saver”

Dear Kidney Foundation,  I am so very grateful for your support.  The Gas card you provided to us was literally a “life-saver.”  My husband lost his job last month, and we could not afford the gas to get me to diaysis this week.  If you had not provided us with the gas money, I don’t know what we would have done.  Thank you. We appreicate you help and hope you keep getting support to help other kidney patients in need.  In moments like this, we are so grateful for those who donante.  Thank you again and again.  May God bless you for your work.  Sincerely, Alicia G.

We are forever beholden to the National Kidney Foundation of Utah

We received your letter dated January 22, 2011 letting us know that the Kidney Foundation of Utah had helped us with our water bill.  I don’t know who will read this letter, but I want everyone to know that the National Kidney Foundation of Utah & Idah was a Godsend. My husband is in kidney failure and cannot work because he’s got to go to dialysis 5 days a week.  He’s also diabetic and has high blood pressure–and all the terrible health problems that go along with those two horrible diseases.  I am so glad your foundation has people with feelings and who understand how hard it is to make ends meet when there is chronic illness at home. I had to quit my job as a CNA to care for my husband.  I cannot express adequately how much it means to know there are people at the Kidney Foundation I can turn to for emotional and also some financial support.  Thank you so much for your help, you have made our lives a little easier.  We are forever beholden to you.  Sincerely, Rocky & Candy T.

We struggled to make ends meet after kidney failure

I am writing this letter on behalf of me and my husband.  He was recently diagnosed with Acute Renal Kidney Failure.  He has been going to dialysis since August and has been out of work since then.  We have applied for disability but have been struggling to make ends meet.  We talked to his social worker and explained our hardship, and it was she who recommended we apply for help to the Kidney Foundation.  We were relieved to find out we could receive some assistance to help toward our house payment.  We would like to thank the Kidney Foundation of Utah for helping us in our time of need.  It was a time of great desperation and we cannot thank you enough.  Sincerely,  Christi & LeRoy C.

Kidney Foundation of Utah almost made me cry

Dear Kidney Foundation of Utah,  I appreciate all that you have done for me.  I am so thankful to receive my new glasses.  I can see much better now.  I wish I had better words to express my appreciation, but when I try it just makes me want to cry in gratitude.  Thank you so much.  Respectfully,  R.
