I live every day with the guilt…

Thank you for the gas card! Gasoline to get to and from dialysis is a huge financial burden. Since I went into Kidney Failure, I’ve been told by my doctors to stop working (I had a very physically demanding job). Since then, my family finances have suffered greatly. Every penny we have now goes to my medical treatments, medications, and transportation.  Just before I went into renal failure I had gotten a second job in order to support my youngest son who is serving an LDS religious mission. My inability to work has crippled our whole family.  Everyday, I live with guilt for the stress my wife feels in having to take care of me while also working to support us.  The assistance to help pay for gas was a true relief.  Thank you Kidney Foundation for all that you do. I hope when I have my transplant and can work again, to make a donation  to you to help other patients in need.

We Will Continue to Make the Drive

Dear Kidney Foundation:  Thank you so much for the gas card to help us buy fuel to get to and from dialysis this week.  We have to make the 130 mile round trip 3 times a week.  We live in Panguich, and must drive over the mountain pass (Bear Valley, Hwy 20) to get to Cedar City–even in bad weather–because my husband simply can not miss dialysis or he will die.   We have put our home up for sale in order to move closer to the clinic, but it is very sad.  My husband was born in this very bedroom. It is a very old home, and special to us, but don’t know if anyone will even buy it.   In the meantime, we will make the drive to Cedar City, faithfully 3 times a week.  Thank you for your help and assistance in helping us get there.  Please let me know if I can do anything to help the Foundation.  I am good at making flyers and advertising, and have run a blood drive at our Church Social Hall.  Let me know if this is helpful, I want to help and return the favor to your organization.  Thank you again for your help, and concern for our wellfare.  Sincerely,   David & Connie O.

Gas for Dialysis

Dear Kidney Foundation of Utah & Idaho,

I am writing this letter to personally thank you for the grant to buy gas. It is helping  me to get diaysis and without it I don’t know how I could pay for transportation.  God Bless you.

 Thank you.

Price of Gas

Thank you to all the donors who give away old cars so you can raise money to help people like me. Thank you very much for the help to purchase gasoline so I could to make the trip to Price, Utah to receive kidney dialysis treatment.  Driving to dialysis is 50 miles round trip, and I have to go three times a week just to stay alive.  With the price of gasoline, it has become really hard to be able to afford to drive there.  Thank you so much for your support.

Sincerely, G. Kiser
